Muslim Identity

Muslim identity has always existed beyond borders, shaped by a shared faith yet expressed through countless cultures, histories, and forms.

It is written into the geometry of the Alhambra Palace and the soaring domes of the Blue Mosque. It speaks through Arabic calligraphy, Islamic ornamentation and Persian poetry — each expression distinct, yet bound by the same spiritual thread.

It is an identity carried by Maryam al-Astrulabi, whose mastery of science shaped the instruments that guided civilizations; by Sayyidah al-Hurra, who ruled with authority and defied the powers of her time upon the seas of the Mediterranean; and by Fatima al-Fihriya, whose vision gave rise to Al-Qarawiyyin, the world's first university.

It is the same identity that led the Turkish Ottoman Sultan Fatih Mehmet to the walls of Constantinople, the Libyan Omar al-Mukhtar to resist Italian occupation and the Kurdish Salah ad-Din al-Ayyubi to liberate Al-Quds from the crusaders.

Across centuries and continents, this identity has found expression in leadership and science, architecture and art, resistance and grace. An identity shared by over two billion people across different cultures, nationalities and tongues – yet united in the teachings of the best of mankind, our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, united in praising and worshipping Allah ﷻ the Most Exalted in the same language – Arabic – and hearts drawn towards the same sacred places of Makkah, Madinah, and Al-Aqsa.

CASA d'ORIENTE was founded from a deeply personal vision — to create a space where Muslim identity is not softened, hidden, or explained, but expressed unapologetically, unequivocally and proudly. Rooted in faith and shaped by lived experience, la CASA was born from a journey of embracing who we are, where we come from, and what we carry within us.
Every creation reflects this intention. More than pieces of garment and adornment, they are expressions of Muslim belief, Muslim heritage and Muslim individuality. At its heart, CASA d'ORIENTE is part of you — a reflection of Muslim Identity worn, lived, and carried proudly and unequicovally. A celebration of faith, culture, and self, expressed not loudly, but unapologetically.
